Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2019 Jayco Melbourne on a 2018 Sprinter 3500 Chassis
Question:
2019 Jayco Mebourne motor home on a 2018 Mercedes Sprinter chassis. I am interested in the Roadmaster sway bars. There already is a bar behind the rear axle attached to the rear end and the frame. The RM 120-131 looks like it goes in front of the rear axle. Is another bar really going to make that much difference? This motor home is new to me and we are preparing to take it on a long trip that will include many scenic byways, and I looking to make the ride as comfortable as possible for my wife. Also what other suspension add on or upgrades would you recommend, such as maybe the Sumo pads for the front. Thank you for your time.

The correct Roadmaster anti-sway bar for your 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis is part # RM-1209-131. This does require some drilling but it also retains (and enhances) your OEM anti-sway bar. You'd actually be pretty surprised at how much adding even just a thicker anti-sway bar can improve the handling of your motorhome.
You are definitely looking in the right place when you mention the SumoSprings to help with enhancing your ride as well. I recommend adding SumoSprings # SSR-338-47 for your rear axle and the SumoSprings # SSF-106-47 for your front axle. If you were to only choose one then the rear set will give you the most improvement but since you sound like you are really wanting to make the ride as comfortable as possible I highly recommend adding both front and rear options.
I have attached some review videos for each of these kits for you to check out.
