Will Kuat Transfer 2 Fit EcoHitch Installed on 2014 Mazda 3 Hatchback
Question:
My wife wants to add a hitch and bike rack for her 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback. She likes the look of the EcoHitch because the crossbar is hidden, so I am looking at the 2inch version x7305. She prefers a platform rack over a hanging rack, and price is a consideration, so I am looking at the Kuat Transfer 2 we only have two bikes. Do you know if those two the EcoHitch and Transfer 2 would work well together and allow the Transfer 2 to be folded up without being too close to the Mazda 3s bumper? If not, do you have any other suggestions?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The EcoHitch part # 306-X7305 for your 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback is a really great choice for a trailer hitch and would also work really well with the Kuat Transfer part # KU74FR that you mentioned as well. This hitch would allow you enough clearance for the bike rack to fit folded up as well.
Platform racks are much easier to load and unload which is why most people prefer them. Also most are more expensive and heavier than the Transfer so it's a really great value as well. I attached a review video for the bike rack for you to check out as well.
