Can Curt Adapter Rails be Used with R20 Slider and E16 Head on 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 with Pucks

Question:

I have 2019 Silverado 3500hd with the GM puck system and Curt R-20 roller with Curt 16515 hitch. Can I use the Curt C16023?

If you are currently using the Head Unit for Curt E16 Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16515 with the Curt R20 Round Tube Slider # C16550 then yes, that is compatible with the Adapter Rails # C16023 which fits the OEM Pcuk System on your 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500HD.

Please keep in mind that your weight rating is limited by your lowest rated component. So even though the adapter and the R20 slider are rated for 20K, the E16 is only rated for 16K so that is what you are limited to. If you'd like yo increase your towing capacity then I recommend getting the Curt A20 # C16540 head unit to swap out with your E16. This not only increases the weight rating of your system to 20K but it also provides you with an upgraded jaw system that greatly reduces chucking and jarring. The A20 also features just one pin to remove the hitch head which will help you break down the entire system for easier install/removal.
