Locking etrailer Portable Inverter Generator

Question:

Hi, I have a question on the 333-0003 generator. Is there a place to attach a cable or chain for theft protection? I have heard that thieves can cut the plastic handles of generators to steal them if the chain is put thru the handles. Thanks.

The integrated handles on the etrailer 3,200-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # 333-0003 are the best locations to run a chain or cable lock like # e98891 through to help deter theft. You are right that a persistent thief could potentially cut the handle to slide a chain/lock off but this is really going to be the case with any other anti-theft measure - if somebody wants it bad enough they will likely find a way.

Since there is a handle on each side you could run a chain/cable through each of them to make this job a lot tougher and more time consuming, which more than likely would cause those coveting suspects to simply keep walking as it wouldn't be worth the effort. Because of its smaller size you could also just store it away and out of sight when it's not in use.
