Recommended Longer 2-1/2 Inch Shank for a Pro Series Weight Distribution System

Question:

Hi, I purchased this setup from you about 6 years, two trucks and one camper ago. With my current tow vehicle Im seeing the need for a slightly bigger drop than can be achieved with the stock shank. Looking at the Curt C17132 as a solution. My truck has a 2 1/2 inch receiver by the way. I use an adapter to tow with this WD. Thanks in advance!

The Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # C17132 will work with the Pro Series Weight Distribution System part # PS49902 so if this is what you need then you will be good to go. However, the 10" drop that the above offers is quite long and if you don't use all of this then the shank might limit your ground clearance. If you only need 6" per say of drop then I would go with the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4900 instead.

In order to find out how much drop you need, simply measure the distance from the ground to the inside top edge of your receiver tube opening and then subtract the distance from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler while level.
