Does Power Converter Also Serve as Inverter

Does the Power Converter also serve as an Inverter to supply 110v power from the DC Battery?

The power converter of the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 35 Amp # PD4135K does not also serve as an inverter to supply 110 volt power from the DC battery. It simply converts the AC shore power to DC power.

Is there an upgrade kit for the pd4135kw for a lithium battery? I talked with the manufacturer of Lion Safary UT 1300 lithium battery and he said that the pd4135kw wouldnt hurt the battery, but might not charge it as efficiently as one designed specifically for lithium batteries.Thoughts?Thanks

Lithium batteries do require higher voltage for charging, so the person you talked to was correct. It won't hurt the battery, but it's not the ideal solution, either. The closest alternative to the PD4135K that's designed for lithium batteries is the Progressive Dynamics # PD4045LIKA. There isn't an actual upgrade kit available to convert the PD4135K to this type of setup.
