Helpful Expert Reply:

The proper amount of pressure to put inside the 4.80-12 tires on your 1988 Jayco Popup Camper will be listed on the sidewall of the tire as max psi. The psi will need to be adjusted while cold and you must use the max psi in order to retain the full weight capacity of the tire. That said, the 4.80-12 tires we offer like the Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire part # TT48012C will need to be filled to 90 psi.

The above is a radial trailer tire which you might want to consider if you have a bias ply now as they will run much smoother on the highway and last longer in most cases. They will also provide you with an 81 mph speed rating which is very high for this small of a tire.
