Could Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 be Used in Drop Position

Question:

Is it a problem inverting the hitch to the ride height of a scooter carrier to be used on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler? The scooter carrier is about 50 pounds and the scooter is around 80 pounds. The other option Im looking at is the Roadmaster RM-076. Could I use this for my purpose?

If you wanted to use the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 in the drop position to lower your scooter carrier you could, but keep in mind this will cut the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent. That shouldn't be a problem for your 2015 Wrangler though as most hitches for it have at least 350 lbs tongue weight.
