Solution To Allow Weight Distribution System to be Used While Carrying Bike Rack

Question:

Thank you Jameson. Excellent reply. Both options are 2” receivers but also state only 2 bikes. I have a 4 bike carrier - if it fits without preventing issues with turning - will it work? Are all A-frames standard size? Are the mounts to the A-frame adjustable?

I have a solution that will allow you to continue using your weight distribution system and carry a bike but you can't use a dual hitch adapter with a weight distribution system. One solution is the bunk adapter for your trailer part # CC-275. This attaches to the a-frame of your trailer and then gives you the ability to carry a bike rack above it like what you see in the picture I attached.

Or you could attach a bike rack to the shank of your WD system like the Swagman Traveler XCS part # S64664.

You're welcome! If you could somehow fit a 4-bike rack in the # CC-275 without interference and stay under the 100 lb capacity of the adapter it would work, but I'd suspect you'd be over weight capacity and the clearance would be hard. Nearly all A-frame trailers have same dimensions but this adapter has a bit of flexibility it how it can attach too which helps.
