When you use a 12V battery charger like the NOCO Genius 2-Bank charger # 329-GEN2 you do need to disconnect your series-wired batteries so that each bank on the charger is connected to one 12V battery. This 12V charger will not operate correctly into a 24V load. It will do a great job of charging both batteries since each bank outputs 10-amps charging current and is compatible with battery capacities up to 230-amp hours.

I want to use the NOCO GEN2 to charge four 6 volt batteries. They are 6V deep cycle golf cart batteries. They are in a series/parallel condition. So in essence I have to 12 volt batteries hooked in parallel. So, can i use this charger to charge and maintain this configuration while leaving them hooked in parallel? Or, do I have to separate them while charging?

You COULD use the 12V NOCO charger in this manner but it's honestly not going to provide great results. It likely won't be able to charge both batteries of each series fully (there will always be one that can't get fully charged). A much better option, even though it's not as easy, is to actually charge each 6V battery individually. The 6V 4-Bank Charger # 329-G4 would work perfectly.
