Can 9-Way Trailer Wiring on Vehicle be Replaced with 7-Way
Question:
I have a 9 prong plug for my trailer lights mounted on my suburban i would like to put a 7 way hookup how would i go about doing that?

It would be a matter of removing the wiring from your current 9-way and running it to the new 7-way. We have the kit part # PK11898 which you could butt connect the wiring you have to. But you do need to determine why you have a 9-way currently. Do you have extra circuits beyond standard trailer wiring, or does your trailer wiring have separate stop light circuits from the turn circuits?
