Towing with a Weight Distribution System on a 2003 Hummer H2

Question:

Door frame sticker: GVWR 8600 front 4000 rear 5000 no stickers on hitch/receiver area no stickers on hitch. I do have a weight distribution system already with my current traver trailer setup. I hope this info helps. Please let me know where else to look for the information.

There should be a sticker with the weight rating on your trailer hitch. Usually there are two ratings. Check to see if your trailer hitch has a weight rating with weight distribution and then let me know.

The weight rating I was looking for was your total hitch capacity with a weight distribution system. I think that is what the dealer told you, but you might want to confirm that with them. You said your sticker states that you can tow 5,000 lbs and the dealer told you the total capacity is 7,000 lbs. If 7,000 lbs is what you can tow with a weight distribution, then that is the total capacity that you can tow and I would not recommend purchasing a trailer that exceeds that weight.
