Do All 4.80/4.00-8 Tires On a Trailer Need To Be the Same Brand
Question:
When I need to replace a bad tire on my 3/4 ton single axle tent trailer do I need to match the brand or tread on the two sides? I am currently running a pair of Tow Master 4.80x8, high speed 90 psi. I have a Deli spare and a Load Star spare, both 480x8 high speed 90 psi, but the treads look different.

Generally speaking, you do not have to use the same brand of tire on all sides of a trailer. The only things that must be consistent are size, load range, and speed rating. That said, different brands can have different tread patterns like you mentioned which can then create uneven wear patterns as well as tracking issues so it would really be best if all sides were the same brand.
For a 4.80/4.00-8 trailer tire, we have the Kenda K371 Bias Trailer Tire part # AM10004 which comes with a two year warranty.
