The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.

For varying tongue weights you'd want to use the max figure as the number so in your case 800 lbs. For that I recommend the Equal-i-zer kit part # EQ37100ET which has a tongue weight range of 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs and has a reputation as being the best all around system. It's somewhat involved setting up a weight distribution so you may find that you'll want to run one setting when the trailer is either it's max weight or close to it, and maybe not use it at all if the weight is considerably less, but you'll have to make that call.

You'll also need a thin walled socket to install the included hitch ball with the part # ALL643216.
