Does A Breakaway System Need To Be Reset After The Pin Is Pulled
Question:
I pulled the key out accidentally while camper was sitting still. Once I put the key back in is there anything else that has to be done for the system to work?

A breakaway system like the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit part # 20099 will go back to working as normal once the pin is inserted back into the switch. There is nothing else that needs to be done to reset the system once you plug the pin back into the switch. That said, it might be a good time to make sure the brakes did indeed lockup when the pin was pulled because if they did not then the system is not functioning correctly and will need to be repaired or replaced.
