Recommended Husky Center Line for Airstream Trailer With 7,100 Lbs GVWR

Question:

I have an Airstream tandem GVWR 7100, tongue weight 650lbs without options, unloaded. It has every option which adds 100 lbs according to the manual. I may have 100lbs in the bed of the F150 crew cab. After loading, should I get the 800 to 1200 model? Or will the ride be too stiff?

I recommend you use the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control part # HT32218 which is rated for up to 1,200 lbs. It sounds like you will be right at around 800 lbs fully loaded (both vehicle and trailer) which puts you right in the middle of the 800 lb part # HT32217 and 1,200 lb system. The 1,200 lb system part # HT32218 would be a better choice in this case because it gives you room to add more weight if needed. It is also okay to be under your max capacity but it is not okay to go over this. The 1,200 lb system won't be too stiff at all. I always recommend going with the next size system up in this case where you are in between two.
