Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch For A 2012 Ram 3500 With Ram Boxes
Question:
Purchased a 2012 350 Ram with Ram box’s -replaced the pin box on the 2010 Montana with the Reese elite airborne sidewinder pin box . Rated at 16000 lb .The old Reese hitch is 16000lb with the square rail slide .want to upgrade to a quieter non sliding hitch - been looking at the 20000 lb elite hitch #30081 .Do you have a better suggestion?

The Reese Select Plus 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30081 is actually an excellent option for your 2012 Ram 3500 and what I recommend you use with the Reese Sidewinder to tow your 2010 Keystone Montana 5th Wheel Trailer. The singular self-latching jaw will grip the kingpin tightly so minimal noise can occur and the wide base funnel will help with guiding the kingpin into the jaws.
Please note, you will need to use the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge part # SWW-01 when using this 5th wheel hitch with the Reese Sidewinder. I am not sure which Reese Sidewinder you have installed but I can say the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder part # RP61412 (for Lippert 1116) which has an integrated airbag will provide the best ride and make the least amount of noise.
