Difference Between Furrion and Way Interglobal RV Speakers

Question:

Hi, What is the difference between this speaker and Item # 324-000017. They appear to be very close to the same but the Furion is twice the price. Is it worth the additional cost? These are going on the outside of my 2008 Keystone Cougar travel trailer. Thanks in advance.

The two speakers are very similar in size and application but the big difference is the wattage of the speakers included and the driver size. The Furrion part # FMS3W is a 20 watt speaker with a 3 inch driver and the part # 324-000017 is a 35 watt speaker with a 5-1/4 inch. You'd want to match the speaker to the amps per channel of your stereo. Having more watts on the amp side than the speaker side is ideal for a clean sound. Some recommend having double the watts on the amps than what the speaker is capable of. This allows you to turn the speakers up loudly without having to push the amp into distortion.
