Rear Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2007 Toyota Tundra
Question:
I have a 2007 Tundra Limited Crew Max with 5.7 engine and tow package. We recently purchased a Forest River toy hauler with a GVW of 8700 lbs. We have a WD hitch. We immediately noticed quite a bit of rear suspension sag when connecting the trailer. The drive home was 1100 miles, with a lot of cross wind. Control was difficult at times, terrifying at others. I would like to add some type of rear suspension help to level the truck back out and regain some control. Im okay with an air bag system or helper springs, but just dont know what the best options may be. Thank you for the help.

If you still are experiencing sag with the weight distribution system that can mean a few things. Either the system is rated too low, the system isn't setup properly, or the vehicle is being overloaded. While we can help you pick out suspension enhancement I'd first verify those three things. You want to make sure the loaded tongue weight of your system falls right in the middle of the range of your setup.
For suspension enhancement for your 2007 Toyota Tundra that will help the most with stability I would recommend the RoadActive System # RAS4611TD. This will give you the ability to adjust how much support you get and has the reputation for giving the most stability so I would recommend it for you. Plus it's a really easy install. It has the simplicity of the jounce style of support kits with the adjustability of the air spring kits which are somewhat involved.
