How to Operate/Reset Information Center in 2014 Ford Expedition
Question:
Every time after we tow our camper the trailer screen comes back up after starting again. It shows the no trailer connected line but won’t change back to anything else no matter what buttons I hit. The only thing that clears it is to press the tow/haul button and then the whole thing clears and nothing is displayed. Any idea how to correct this. 2012 Jayco Jay Flight Travel Trailer.

The information center in your 2014 Ford Expedition includes an indication of the gain setting in the factory-installed trailer brake controller, if so equipped. If you are seeing the "no trailer connected" message then the cause could be corrosion on the brake circuit contacts that is interrupting the connection between the controller and the trailer's brake circuit. Try inspecting/cleaning the contacts to ensure good conductivity on the brake circuit. Also check that the trailer plug fits snugly in the trailer socket on the Expedition.
According to the steps listed starting on page 109 of the online owner's manual you can reset the information system to clear any codes. I will send you a separate link to the online manual where I found this information.
