Clearance Underneath BAK Revolver X4 Hard Roll Up Tonneau Cover BAK79122
Question:
I have a 2018 gmc sierra 3500. This cover hangs below the top of the bed rail. Can you tell me the thickness or more specifically how much exactly it hangs below the rail? I have a additional tank in the bed that comes pretty close to the top of the bed line and i need to understand that measurement. Thank you

The BAK Revolver X4 Hard Roll Up Tonneau Cover # BAK79122 that fits your 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 long bed does install inside the bed rails (rather than on top of them) to let you keep access to stake pockets for accessories. Since this cover rolls up above the bed there will not be much in the way of material that hangs below the bed rails. If you refer to the two linked detail photos that show this cover installed you'll see the clamp on rails.
The bottom surface of the rolled-up cover itself does not sit much below the bed rails; I would say no more than an inch or so. The bottom of the clamps that hold the cover's rails will be about 2-1/2-inches below the rail height. Your tank's clearance will depend on exactly where it is located within the bed.
