Question:

It is smart for your to switch over to trailer tires from your current passenger tires that are 215/70R15 because trailer tires - which will have an "ST" before the size - are designed specifically to stand up to the rigors of a heavier load. They have especially strong sidewalls that can handle the higher air pressure needed to inflate a trailer tire.

To replace your P215/70R15 tires I strongly recommend the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # LHWL300 because of its exceptional 10/32" tread depth as well as the tire's strength, which is evidenced by the tire's 5-year warranty. Additionally, even if something should happen it comes with free roadside assistance for two years no matter if you are in the U.S. or Canada.

These tires measure 27.1" in diameter, 8" in width, fit 15" x 5" and 15" x 6" rims, and have a 2,150 lb capacity when inflated to their max 65 psi. They are similar in size to your current tires, measuring roughly 1/4" more in diameter but 1/2" narrower.

I have added a link to a video review of these tires for you to check out.
