Greystone Model SF208-26A Doesn't Power On

Question:

The Greystone fireplace model #SF208-26A in our Heartland RV does not power on. We replaced the 15 AMP breaker, we plugged into a different outlet and cannot figure out why its not working. We can hear it make a beep sound when unplug it and plug back in, but it still will not power on. Any advice would be much appreciated.

You want to make sure the Greystone Fireplace model #SF208-26A (our part # 324-000065) is well ventilated. There is a vent that lets out the hot air on the top of the fireplace unit and vent on the back of unit. Make sure the vents are free of dust and the unit is at least 1 inch away from any obstructions. The fireplace does have a built in overheat sensor so it will turn off if it gets overheated. You also want to make sure the wiring is a minimum wire gauge of 16AWG some RV manufacturers do not take that into consideration when installing the fireplace. If you have triggered the overheat protection mode the unit will need to be unplugged for 10 minutes, make sure all of the controls are on "off" and then plugged back in.

If you are still having trouble with the fireplace, it may need to be replaced with part # 324-000065 or with manufacturer warranty.
