Tips for Removing B and W Companion Hitch Stuck in Gooseneck Hitch

Been a year since I had the hitch installed. Trying to get the pin out of the block. Not a chance. Is there an easy way?

Gooseneck ball shanks like what the Companion hitch part # BWRVK3500 uses to connect to the truck bed sometimes can be difficult to release if left installed for a length of time. Best option is to get underneath truck bed and spray penetrating lube like WD40 everywhere you can near the ball and the release levers.
Another trick is to put the weight of the fifth wheel trailer on the hitch by connecting it to the pin box of the trailer and trying to release the hitch lever with weight on it. That will help release a bound up release pin as well.
