How To Use a Reese 5th Wheel Hitch On a Chevy Silverado K3500 with B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck
Question:
I have a k3500 crew cab 4x4 with a BandW gooseneck. I have a Reese 5th wheel hitch but the man I bought it from did not remove the rails for it before trading the truck in. Is there a special kit or anything special about adding a rail kit with the BandW installed?

Yes, there is a special adapter you need in order to use a Reese 5th Wheel Hitch on your Chevy Silverado K3500 with a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch, the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches part # DM6140 which is your only option because a set of standard base rails that mount to the frame will not work due to the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch.
There is also the option to obtain the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500 but this would be less cost effective although a better option overall.
