Recommended 12V Power Connection at 7-Way Trailer Connector for Electric Jack

Question:

I have one of these jacks and it used to be connected to the truck trailer plug on bumper via a male cigarette lighter looking power plug that was offered by radio shack. radio shack is no longer in business, is there a part that can be wired to the red and black lines coming out of the jack and hook up into the rear bumper area. i understand that the jack should be powered directly to a car battery but does the rear bumper trailer 4 pin flat receptacle have enough power to hook the jack up to it? looking for something like this picture below. or another means to plug the jack directly into the trailer plug harness

A 4-way trailer connector does not have enough power for a trailer jack; ideally a trailer battery is what you'd want for a jack, however some jacks do have a power plug for a 7-way connection like you are seeking.

What you can do is get the # ETBC7L which will connect to your 4-way and then run the included wire and circuit breaker to your battery. You will only need to connect the current 4 way and then add the 12V wire and connect the ground to the vehicle frame. The brake controller and auxiliary wire can just be taped up out of the way. Then you can connect your powered jack to the 7-way using a plug like # A7WCB. I've attached a photo to assist with the 12V power and ground locations you will connect to.
