Can I Open Lift Gate On Nissan Rogue With Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style

Hi, can the swagman XC Rack stay on vehicle with bikes on or off to access Liftgate on a 2015 Nissan Rogue. Will a U Lock be ok to lock Rack and bike securely....what is your best locks? Thank you

The Swagman XC Rack part # S64650 will allow you access to the rear cargo area on the 2015 Nissan Rogue but the bikes do need to be removed and the arms of the bike rack need to be folded down before you have enough clearance to open the liftgate. I have attached a video of our installers using the bike rack on 2015 Nissan Rogue.

The Swagman has a threaded lock design so I recommend the Swagman Lock and Cable kit part # S64031. This kit comes with an anti-rattle hitch lock specifically designed for the Swagman rack that cuts down on the annoying rattling sound you can sometimes have when carrying a bike rack. It also comes with the cable lock to lock your bikes to the rack.
