Jensen Stereo JWM70A Is Not Turning On

Question:

We recently bought a new Northern Lite camper that is equipped with a Jensen jwm70a. I wouldnt play cds or dvds so we took it back to the dealer for warranty work. They could not figure out the problem so installed a new unit. There were still issues but the final answer was it takes a while to load. We took it home and on our last trip all but the tv speaker stopped working. A few weeks later we were going camping and now the unit wont turn on. I have checked the fuse and it is fine.

It does sound like you have a ground issue with the Jensen Stereo part # JWM70A since you mention it intermittently works and the fuse is okay. The ground wire on the Jensen is the black wire according to installation instructions. They also mention to check the 12V Red wire for power using a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 to make sure it is getting power.

If all of your wiring is properly connected then you can reset the system with the reset button. Use a ball point pen or thin metal object to press the reset button to reset the unit.

If you still not able to find the cause of the issues with the JWM70A let me know and we can troubleshoot further.
