Will the Thule T2 Classic Work on a 2017 Acura RDX with Factory Class I Hitch

Question:

I plan on doing long distance trips with the bike and as a class 1 hitch I was wondering if this rack would cause any stress or fatigue that would cause a malfunction.

The Thule T2 Classic 2 Bike Platform Rack part # TH9045 would work just fine for long distance trips on your 2017 Acura RDX with a factory class I trailer hitch installed. The locking threaded hitch pin that this bike rack uses will work to help prevent excess movement of the shank inside the trailer hitch so both the bikes and rack will have a stable ride during your long distance travels. This also means the bike rack would be protected from theft as well.

If you ever wanted to fold the bike rack up against the vehicle when you didn't have a bike attached you would just need to make sure you have no more than 3-1/2" between the center of the hitch pin hole and edge of your bumper.
