Can Pro Series Weight Distribution System Capacity Be Changed with Different Spring Bars

I have a question about the 49902 and the 49903, wondering if the difference in GTW that each one can handle is in the spring bars and if it is can they be bought separately. Thanks

You are correct that weight distribution (WD) spring bars of the same type from the same maker are often interchangeable and this allows a given WD hitch system to be updated with bars of a different capacity to accommodate a lighter or heavier trailer. The Pro Series systems # PS49902 and # PS49903 both use round spring bars of the same design and for instance 1000-lb bar set # PS58441 could be used to upgrade system # PS49902 to give it the same capacity as # PS49903.
If two setups are, for example, 20 years apart in their manufacture dates then in that case there could be compatibility issues.
