Sway Bar Recommendations for 2017 Nexus Viper 25V Built on Ford E-350 Chassis
Question:
I own a 2017 Nexus Viper 25V class B motorhome that’s built on the Ford E350 chassis. The motorhome already came w the OEM steering stabilizer. I’m trying to reduce the effect of crosswinds and passing semi-trucks while on the highway. I’m thinking that the Roadmaster 1139-117 and 1139-176 anti-sway bars would be the best solution. Correct? Or, should I install Sumo Springs first? If you agree that the Roadmaster bars are the best solution, are these the 2 correct part numbers for my Motorhome? IF I had to choose between front or rear Roadmaster anti-sway bars, do you recommend replacing the rear or the front bar? One last question- it appears that the rear Roadmaster bar replaces the OEM bar. Correct? Or does the rear Roadmaster bar supplement the OEM bar?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For motorhomes like your 2017 Nexus Viper 25V class B motorhome that’s built on the Ford E350 chassis the biggest improvement you'll make to reduce sway is with a rear sway bar. For that the correct part number is the part # RM-1139-117 and the next biggest improvement you'll make is with a front sway bar like the part # RM-1139-176 so the two part numbers you mentioned are correct.
So if you have to pick one for right now definitely go with the rear bar first and from there if you want more improvement get the front bar too.
Your current rear sway bar does have to get removed to install the new Roadmaster one.
