Does Roadmaster High Low Adapter # RM-048-6 Replace Shank of Carrier

Question:

If I use this with my already purchased 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier Hitches Steel Folding 500 lbs C18153 to raise the carrier so it doesnt drag on the ground when going over dips, do i not use the curved bar that comes with the carrier see attached photo ? I have a 2015 Toyota Sienna and the carrier drags on the ground on the distal end. I need to raise it a bit.

The Roadmaster High Low Adapter part # RM-048-6 does not replace the shank of your Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18151. The shank of the carrier slides into the hitch opening of the adapter similar to what you see in the picture I attached.
