Can the Rear Hatch On a 2011 Ford Escape Be Opened With the Swagman XTC Installed

With the Swagman XTC 2 rack, will I be able to somehow open the rear gate of my 2011 Ford Escape?

If you fold down the center post on the Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack part # S64670 then yes, you can absolutely open the rear hatch on your 2011 Ford Escape. The bikes however cannot be left installed while doing the above.
I have attached a video for you on a similar vehicle that shows this process.
