Can a 2012 Ram 1500 Tow a Trailer with LED Lights
Question:
I have a 2012 RAM 1500 2W drive that does not have LED lights system. I also have a 24ft trailer that is fitted with all LED lights. The trailer brake system has not been restored yet. That will be on a different wiring harness. Question is What type of converter do I need to use to make the truck system work with the Trailer LED lights system so I dont blow the truck fuses each time I use the trailer?

In certain cases, the tow vehicle if using a factory trailer wiring harness will have trouble towing a trailer with LED lights. The issue is not that you will blow a fuse but rather that you will receive a bulb out error message or the truck won't recognize the trailer is connected. If you have this issue or just want to be sure you don't you can use the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass part # 20142. If you don't already have a trailer connector on your 2012 Ram 1500 then you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # C55774. There won't be an additional converter needed save for the above.
