Dimensions and Installation of MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Tru-X Universal Muffler MF12599

Question:

1 Amazon lists this item with a body length of 14inch and an overall length of 20. Ebay, Jegs and other retailers list it having a body length of 22inch and an overall length of 28. Should I assume that Amazon is incorrect or is the smaller size available? 2 When saying the flow can be in either direction does it mean that there can be a inlet and outlet at each end of the muffler, like a cross flow, or simply that the muffer can only be switch around with the two inlets and outlets at the same end?

MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Tru-X Universal Muffler # MF12599 has an overall end to end length of 28-inches including the 3-inch diameter inlets/outlets on each end. The muffler body itself measures 22-inches. Different retailers may choose not to include the length of the inlets/outlets in their specs.

It can be installed with either end serving as the two inlets or the two outlets but it cannot be installed with an inlet and an outlet on the same end. This USA-made weld-on muffler is made 100% of stainless steel for long life and it has a lifetime warranty from MagnaFlow.
