Availability of Replacement Lift Motor for Older 2000TRS Fan-Tastic Vent

Question:

Its a Model 2000TRS. Date 06/02 Motor is #200-0449 8RPM. Mounted on a 2003 Travel Supreme 5th wheel The adjust knob is star shaped not straight handle. replaced once with a 200-053a motor.It was different size slightly than original and had the straight horizontal handle 7RPM.It too extensive sanding to get it to mount and new screw holes.Lasted about 2 summers.Ordered from Fantastic before they sold out.It has sheared teeth on shaft internally. The original sheared teeth on the external coupling.Bad wind storm ripped off the cover... Can you get something for me. Thanks

I reached out to my contact at Fan-Tastic Vent (now owned by Dometic) and she said that for your older model assembly there unfortunately is no longer a replacement lift motor available that will be compatible. Your best option at this point is to replace the entire unit. Due to the age of your assembly if anything else were to go wrong those replacement parts would be just as difficult to find.

I recommend taking a look at the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent # FV807350. This will fit your same existing 14-1/4 inch x 14-1/4 inch roof opening and its reversible 12V fan and push stale air out and also pull fresh air to maintain a comfortable environment inside the camper. The integrated rain sensor will automatically close the dome when it gets wet and the included remote allows for easy operation.
