Testing For Function On 7-Way Motor home Plug
Question:
I have a 2005 holiday rambler ambassador built on a roadmaster chassis..I need the color codes for the 7 way trailer plug...I found the 7 wire harness but it seems like the traditional color codes are not the same i.e. brown running light..green right turn/brake and yellow left turn/brake and white ground

Some manufacturers do not follow the traditional color codes per function. With that being said, you want to test the 7-wire harness by function with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. Have someone activate the functions while you test for power at the circuits. I have attached a diagram that shows the pin positions of a 7-way.
