Will the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension TSR14K35T01 Work with a 14,000 Lb Trailer

Question:

will the Timbren tandem work well at full capacity? My 5th wheel is right at the 14000 lb. limit. Or is there an alternative that would work better? Q : In addition to the last question, can you get different durometers for these tandem springs? My 5th wheel is heavier on one side. Thanks,

The Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers part # TSR14K35T01 will be perfect for your 14,000 lb 5th wheel trailer. The capacity only needs to be rated for the weight over the axles, not the entire weight of the trailer. Since you have a 5th wheel, 15-20% of the trailer's weight will be placed on the tow vehicle so this then puts you right in the sweet spot for the system which is about 80% capacity.

That said, the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension cannot be ordered with different springs so if one side of your trailer is heavier than the other then you would without a doubt want to use the Lippert Components Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade part # LC1565391 instead as this will allow you to adjust each side individually with a few adaptations.
