Recommended Equipment for Towing a Small Trailer with a Chrysler LHS
Question:
I have a 94, Chrysler LHS, and I wanted to install a trailor hitch.I do mobile detailing, and have a small 4x 6 trailor weighing about 400-600lbs. I have a 100gallon water tank and its not going to be filled and its probably the heaviest on the trailor. I know I need to get the adapter to switch the ball size to 2 ball. What are your recommendations so that I dont put too much strain on my car.

We offer a Class II hitch, part number 36170, available for your vehicle. The hitch is rated to tow 3,500 lbs and has a tongue weight capacity of 300 lbs. I would recommend checking the gross weight of the trailer, with it fully loaded to find your tongue weight. If your weight is under 300 lbs, then this hitch will accommodate your trailer application. You will also need the ballmount, part # 36063 and the 2 inch Ball, part # 19258, as well as a pin and clip, part # PC2 or a hitch lock, part # e98879. If your LHS does not already have a trailer connector to provide power for the trailer lighting, you will also need the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Converter, part # 20251.
