Which Wire on the Bully Fire Strip LED Light Part # BLS-1103 Goes to the Reverse Lights

Question:

Hi there, I have a 2014 f150. Trying to figure out where my reverse wire from my truck ties into the strip lights. I have the 4 way plugged in and everything works. The directions say to take the single wire coming from the control box and run it to the reverse wire on the truck. That wire appears to be coming from the ground side of the box that lead to the test switch. Now the two red wires coming from the lights, I tried it a couple different ways and the only way I was getting the reverse lights to come on was putting one red wire to the trucks reverse wire and the other to a ground. But that only lit up one side and when I reversed the wires the opposite light came on. So if I follow the directions and run the trucks reverse wire to the white wire coming from the box which is a ground wire, it will short out. Also looking at the pics of the light one shows no white wire from the control box and one shows it with it the one w/the test button.

There are only two wiring connections that you need to make for the Bully Fire Strip LED Light part # BLS-1103. The white wire coming from the control box which is for the reverse light circuit, not the ground and then the 4-way plug. It sounds like you are trying to use part of the test button/battery that comes with the unit but this will need to be removed before you install this on your 2014 Ford F-150.

I have attached a photo for you that should help explain this better. The light grounds through the ground pin on the trailer plug, there is not a separate ground wire.
