Question:

What position does the key go in? On, acc? To keep the steering wheel from locking.

If you are towing your 2015 Nissan Versa with a tow dolly like the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1 that you were looking at (which would be required if you have the automatic or continuously variable transmission) then you actually want the steering wheel to be locked. This will prevent the Versa from pivoting on the dolly during travel which might cause the dolly's fenders to hit the vehicle's body.

Now if your Nissan Versa has the manual transmission and you are planning on flat towing it with all 4 wheels on the ground you would want the steering wheel to remain unlocked. This allows the vehicle to track behind the RV during travel.

According to the owner's manual for your Versa when flat towing you need to have the manual transmission in Neutral. I could not find anything in the online version of the manual specific to the key position but most likely you would indeed turn it to ACC/ACCESSORY. You will definitely want to try and verify this either with your copy of the manual or by checking with a local Nissan dealer.

I have attached a great article that details all the components needed to flat tow your vehicle. If this is indeed what you are doing and still need some of these items please let me know and I will be happy to make some recommendations.
