Transmission Cooler for 2008 Toyota Sienna Towing a 1993 Coleman Newport Pioneer Pop-Up Trailer
Question:
I have a 2008 Toyota Sienna LE AWD 3.5L V6. I have reached out to Toyota, and Looked through many only forums about Towing Capacity. From what I understand the base towing capacity is 1,200 pounds unless your Sienna came with a Tow package. According to the Forums, I have read, all of the 2008 Toyota Siennas came will the towing prep package items except for the Transmission Cooler. Toyota was less than helpful in providing me with real answers. My question is what do I need to install to have my Toyota have a 3,500 Pound Capacity? is it just the Transmission Cooler? This is all a bit confusing for the average consumer. But I love your how to videos and you guys make it a lot easier, hopefully you can answer my question.

Official towing capacities can't be changed by anyone but the vehicle manufacturer. We can certainly help you pick out a transmission cooler for a 2008 Toyota Sienna but when it comes down to whether or not it will gain you any towing capacity we can't give you any numbers. Only Toyota could.
For a transmission cooler the Derale kit part # D13501 would work great and could potentially be all that you'd need.
