Do Trucks and Trailers Have to be Totally Straight to Install/Remove Weight Distribution

Question:

Is it true that the truck and trailer have to be absolutely straight on to one another to be able to unhitch the trailer with this hitch? I was about to buy one and someone mentioned that as a big negative to this hitch.

With weight distribution systems like the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution # HT32218 it will be a bit easier to install and remove if the truck and trailer are totally straight but it's not totally required. To help get spring bars on and off it's easier if you connect the coupler to the hitch ball of the trailer and then use the jack to raise the front of the trailer and vehicle's rear suspension. This allows the spring bars to fit onto the hangers without requiring you to apply a considerable amount of force.
