Why Would Fifth Wheel Camper Sit Slightly Lower on One Side than Other

Question:

Im trying to level my large tandem axle 5th wheel ride side to side. Currently all shackles are the standard 3 1/2 in long x 1 1/4 in wide with 2 1/4 in center hole to hole. Sitting on a level concrete pad, my trailer sits 3/4 in higher on the drivers side. So I need shackles with a 3 in center hole to hole measurement, and dont see them listed. Is there such a thing or do I have to choose from either the 2 3/4 or 3 1/8? Yes Im type A LOL, just trying to get as close as possible.

We don't recommend using different suspension components on one side of the trailer as this will change how the system performs and could potentially cause sway or other unpredictable behaviors on the highway. Most likely the uneven ride is due to your camper having heavier components on the side that sits lower. This isn't uncommon as typically one side of the trailer will have kitchen and plumbing components and the other may have a larger slide out with furniture. So due to that it's very hard to get the load perfectly balanced left to right but it is best overall for it to sit level if at all possible.

You might be in need of new leaf springs and you have a worn out spring on one side. Let me know how long your springs are and the axle capacity and I'll get you correct replacement solutions. I also attached link to page with all of our springs that will allow you to select the length you have and capacity to see correct fits.
