7-Way Recommendation to Allow a 7-way and 4-way to be Used Simultaneously

Question:

I would like to know if I can use the 4 pin- for a LED bar on pickup and use the 7 pin connector for my equipment trailer at the same time. I can have enough brake lights for the drivers in CT.

Yes, you could use the 4-way and the 6-way of this Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47570 simultaneously. Since the bar on your pickup will be LED and LEDs hardly draw any amperage it should not be a problem for you at all.

In case you are looking for a trailer connector that already has a 7-way and a 4-way on it you would want a Trailer Connector like part # HM40975. This would replace your existing 7-way and give you a 7-way and a 4-way as an option. The # HM47570 that you referenced will take a 7-way and convert it to a 6,5 and 4-way, but not back to a 7-way.
