The distance between the mounting holes for the Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9518134 are 2.24" vertically and 5.01" horizontally. The base of the plates themselves measure 4" vertically and 8" horizontally. I confirmed all this with my contact at Demco and I attached a picture for demonstration purposes.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
