Kwikee 32 Series Upgrade Kit for Pre-IMGL Steps on 2003 Monaco Diplomat

Question:

2003 Monica Diplomat-Kwikee Series 32 steps pre-IMGL. Part Number: 903206001, serial 13164 Control 909506000, serial 197164. Steps were repeatedly put in bind because step stool was under it until it failed. I was not around, but motor and/or gear box “locked” in position half open. Can I use this upgrade kit to replace all components and as as a result get it going again? Or will I need to order something else. I would like to keep motorhome wiring door switch and manual shut-off switch as they are. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Yes, the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit part # LC379145 would have everything that you need to get your steps going again assuming the gearbox/arm were the damaged components and not the actual step assembly. I spoke to my contact at Lippert about your door switch and manual shutoff and they said that you would want to use the door switch included with this kit, not the one you have now. The manual shutoff switch will no longer be used with the upgrade kit. The door switch is only two wires/bolts so it will be super easy to change over.
