Helpful Expert Reply:
The dry hitch weight of the 2007 Jayco Eagle 314 BHDS travel trailer is just under 800-lbs and even loaded to its maximum 9200-lb GVWR the trailer tongue weight should not exceed 1400-lbs. Therefore the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-5000 rated at 5000-lbs will have plenty of extra capacity. This is a good thing since extra capacity means it won't have to work too hard and it should provide a long service life.
This jack includes its own separate ground wire. This means you don't have to worry about sanding off the mating frame and jack surfaces for a good ground, which is necessary for jacks that ground through the mounting plate. Mounting hardware and a manual emergency crank are included.
