Can Detail K2 Flip Rack Fold Down Ladder Rack Work with Tonneau Cover on Chevy Colorado

Question:

If the k2 was permanently installed with bolts is there a tonnue cover that would work? Also will the flat roof rack platfom fit with the k2? Or any baskets? I am not sure on roof baskets in particuler just generally asking at this point.

Technically you could remove the clamps and bolt the Detail K2 Flip Down Ladder Rack # K2TFR150 to the side walls of your truck bed if you were willing to make the modification to the rack and your truck. This would make it compatible with a tonneau cover that mounts inside the bed rails like BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK26126. Keep in mind, this will void the warranty of the rack and the capacity may be unknown at that point just because it hasn't been tested that way.

Because of the crossbar design on this rack it won't be compatible with standard roof baskets or platforms.

For a ladder rack and tonneau cover combo on your 2018 Chevy Colorado short bed your best option is with the Adarac Pro Series Custom Ladder Rack # A4000950 and the BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK26126.
