Cargo Basket Recommendation that Doesnt have Mounting Studs that Stick Through Floor
Question:
I have a 2015 Expedition and this rack looks perfect. I need the full height back, which most racks dont have. My concern is the connection bolts though. In every picture and video it looks like they stick up above the floor of the rack. Im wondering if they will scratch or tear whatever is put on top of them.

The studs and wing nuts of the Curt cargo carrier part # C18115-117 that you referenced do point up into the tray. They aren't known for damaging the contents in the carrier but I could see it being a potential problem.
The most similar size carrier we offer that won't have this issue is the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket # TH859XT which has covers for the wing nuts it uses to attach to the crossbars. Its dimensions are 49" x 40" x 6".
